Explore Aspen's winter backcountry on a 100% electric MoonBike, a lightweight, near silent alternative to the traditional snowmobile. Every ride is private and self-guided, so you set the pace through open meadows, forest trails and mountain views with no engine noise, no fumes and no tour group in front of you. Engineered in the French Alps, the MoonBike handles like a cross between a snowmobile and a motorcycle and is easy to learn, making it ideal for first time riders and experienced adventurers alike.
Each rental begins with a 30 minute orientation and safety briefing, followed by roughly 90 to 120 minutes of riding. Helmet, goggles, a backcountry backpack, satellite GPS and 2-way radio contact with the operator are all provided, along with route guidance to the best riding area of the day, chosen based on current snow conditions.
Rider requirements: minimum age 16 (riders under 18 need a parent or guardian to sign the waiver), minimum height 5'3" and maximum rider weight 260 lbs. Dress for a full day outdoors in winter: warm jacket, snow pants, gloves, winter boots and layers. Ski boots cannot be worn while riding.
All rides are weather and snow dependent.
